Our old electronic air cleaner failed and we called to schedule service. We were told that the unit was too old and could not be repaired. Replacing it would involve removing the furnace. Instead a high quality regular filter that was really cheap was suggested and we went with that. I was impressed that there was no service call involved and the total cost to us was the filter itself. We'll definitely use them in the future.
