Lexus of Serramonte provides good service and a knowledgeable staff, but they are expensive. I continue to use them because I believe overall the value is there.

Our regular mechanic was on vacation. Went to Lexus because “check engine light” was on. Was told we needed a catalytic converter. Would cost $2400. Our Lexus is 13 years old. Then we were told it “would never pass smog.” When our regular mechanic returned we had the car checked, and by this time the “engine light” was no longer lit. He checked the car and said he sees nothing wrong with the catalytic converter. And, if the check engine light comes on again to come back. The next week our registration came in with a smog test required. We had it done and the smog passed. After the smog passed we went right back to the dealer and spoke to the service manager, and he was quite upset when he heard what had been recommended to us.
