I requested a tune-up and complete detail from a mechanic before picking up an inherited car that stank like mildewed dog. They took it to Automobili Country Club. It had been so bad I had to wear a mask and drive with the window down. Initially thought I'd have to replace all upholstery. Got it back immaculate on the outside and MUCH better on the inside. After a couple more months parked with the windows cracked open, it's drive-able with no mask windows closed. Saved a car with practically no miles on it from being abandoned in front of a used car lot at midnight. <G>
