The City of Berkeley offers free compost to its residents. This past year, there have been numerous bits of plastic mixed up in the compost. Despite numerous phone calls and complaints, this problem has still not been remedied. Recycling plastic back into the soil defeats the whole purpose of doing green waste recycling.
