A woman named Lucy Gulapa runs two care homes in Benicia. This is a pricy care home. But the care is beyond great. The staff have all worked there for years. There is a list of people waiting to get in - in spite of the price. Residents eat of matching porcelain dishes with real silverware. All meals are made from scratch. There are orange trees in the back yard and they serve fresh squeezed juice for breakfast each morning. From the exercise programs to the attention to detail to the coordination with family and medical professionals is great. The place is immaculate. The owner lives on premises of BLC II, and the managers live on premises of BLC I. They encourage family and friends to visit and maintain relationships with family and friends. There are only six residents in one care home and a maximum of three in the second.
