Recommended
I believe my Trex deck was well built by Deanwood Decks however they did not follow Trex recommendations which I did not stipulate in my contract. During construction, I noticed they did not use joist tape (which protects the substructure of the deck from water damage) so I stopped the construction, went to Home Depot and purchased the joist tape. They applied it without a problem.

Responded to our call to look at our deck for a renovation project, but never came back with an estimate, even after leaving a follow-up message with their website.

I was so disappointed in our experience with Deanwood Decks, especially after all the rave reviews. In our experience, the bid process was not professional. Tom pushed us to do something different from what we wanted. He was late for our appointment (after 30 minutes we had to text him) & he ended sending someone else -- who was very nice & polite, but not particularly experienced. When he called several days later and we expressed misgivings about how that appointment had been handled, he basically ended the call. Obviously, he didn't want our job, but it could have been handled in a more professional manner.
