Associated Heating lives up to their positive ratings - our heater stopped working on a typically cool SF morning, and I impressed by the warm professional approach from Andrea, who was able to dispatch a technician for mid-day. When Rod showed up in the first half of the promised 2 hour window, he was friendly and efficient. He diagnosed the issue, gave me an up front price for repairs, and finished the fix promptly. Additionally, he did a great job explaining my options for keeping our furnace running moving forward. I'm glad to know that when our furnace needs service, we know exactly who we'll call.

Very smooth experience from initial contact with the office to first-rate service by technician. My old gas wall heater had passed its annual PG&E safety check, but the PG&E report recommended that its insides needed a good cleaning--lots of dust & dirt. Not a big job, so I was pleasantly surprised with the thorough care the technician, Bryan, gave it. He even removed the big steel plate? (he told me what it was, but I forgot) from inside the heater and carried it out to the garden and washed it with the hose. While it dried, he cleaned the rest of the heater with a brush and a shop vacuum, and finished off by providing screws from the bottom of his pack to replace a couple of missing ones so that the outer cover would hang straight and flush with the wall. This was icing on the cake--now my heater looked better on the outside, too. He did a number of tests, cleaned up, and checked to make sure that everything worked properly before he left. This was all billed as "Repairs/diagnostic: $175 per hour with a one hour minimum plus the cost of parts and tax"--not cheap, but very much worth every penny, since I'm confident that my old heater is now good to go! Oh, and the appointment was for between noon and 1PM and he arrived just shortly after noon and finished shortly after 1PM.
