They often go 1 week, even 2 weeks without picking up trash. They have gone 3 weeks without picking up yard waste in summer. You can hear their workers grumbling. Sometimes they refuse to pick up any of the neighbor's yard waste because they have over 10 bags -- 25 bags in fact because they hadn't picked up yard waste in 3 weeks. They became far worse 5 years ago after a Canadian company bought them and tried to automate.
